    biography of Dunker preacher from Blair County, PA, who lived in Dayton, Ohio, Cerrogordo, Illinois, and finally Lordsburg, California, preaching all along the way.  Also has interesting account of meeting Lincoln at his home right before he went to Washington in 1861 as president.

    John Metzger (1807-1896) was the son of Jacob Metzger and Mary, daughter of Henry Butterbaugh of Hagerstown, Maryland.  His wife was Hannah Ulery, married in 1828 in Montgomery County, Ohio.
