Here is a great piece of family history! Please reach out to someone...if you know of any descendants of Bill/William Sauther's family, Benton, Illinois!..Benton Township High School.

==CONTENTS==
Amazing sports team photos!!.. basketball, football(Southern Ill. Champs 1917), track...action photos! Class of 1918 photo, with Bill circled. He was class Vice President. Program sheets from games and meets. William played the lead in Officer 666, a senior 3-act play, a benefit for Liberty Bonds. Several other programs for plays. I believe Mary Baker was his gal, but??A congrats letter from Uncle Anthony Doherty(Clay City..mason) for graduating, which got forwarded to Great Lakes Naval Training center, because ol' Bill joined up!(the postcard from friend at same place asked him to join him is here)
Invitations to lots of events. Saved pieces of flowers?/dress, which are disintegrating. A program is here of the 1918 Grand Minstrel Show, by the crew of the USS Alabama, a ship that Bill may have been on.
This is a trove of nostalgia from Bill's senior year, which was 1917/1918, during World War 1. Bill was an athlete, in plays, and just had some fun. Plenty of souvenirs and photos of sports teams, and just friends, etc. I can send many more photos/details. Lots of announcement, photos of sports teams, letters, etc.
==CONDISH==
is showing plenty of handling and wear to exterior cloth hard-cover, condition as seen in photos. Bulging from contents, and has been stored this way forever. I found this over 20 years ago, and I hope that I can find some Sauther family member that can add this to their story of their great great grandfather, etc.
